She was accepted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons as a board-certified plastic surgeon in 2013. She has extensive medical experience, having acquired a PhD at the University of Alberta where she practiced for several years prior to her Plastic Surgery residency at the University of Toronto.
